Wire Strip Nails is the general term for nails that are collated (held together) in a long, straight strip for use in pneumatic (air-powered) or gas-powered nail guns. This is in contrast to nails held in coils, which are used in coil nailers. The term"wire strip"refers to the fact that these are individual pieces of wire (the nails) assembled into a rigid, linear"strip"that is loaded directly into the magazine of the tool.

Common Applications

Wire strip nails are used in virtually every aspect of construction and woodworking:

  • Framing: Building wooden structures for houses (walls, roofs, floors).

  • Trim & Molding: Installing baseboards, crown molding, window and door casings.

  • Decking & Siding: Attaching deck boards and exterior siding materials.

  • Flooring: Installing hardwood and engineered wood floors.

  • Cabinet & Furniture Assembly: Strong, discreet fastening for building and installing cabinets and furniture.

  • Roofing: Attaching roofing felt, shingles, and OSB sheathing.
